Man charged after police van damaged in Scunthorpe

A man has appeared in court after a police vehicle was reportedly damaged in Scunthorpe.

Keelan Kennan, 20, of Davy Avenue in Scunthorpe has been charged with threats to damage property, two counts of criminal damage and three counts of assault on an emergency worker. He was remanded into custody and was due to appear at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Monday, May 20).

On Saturday, May 18, it is reported that at around 2pm, a police van was parked along Spencer Avenue when the wing mirror is said to have been smashed. A man is believed to have fled the scene and, following a short area search, he was located and arrested inside a property in Ashdown Avenue.
