A man has been arrested after a power cable worth around £2,000 was stolen from a breast screening unit in Scunthorpe.
Humberside Police say they received a call from a member of staff reporting two people had approached the unit in the car park of Lakeside Retail Park on Friday (October 11). They are then reported to have stolen a cable and fled the scene.
Officers have since carried out a number of enquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage in and around the area to identify those involved.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Following these enquiries, a 36-year-old man was located and arrested yesterday (Tuesday 15 October) on suspicion of theft and six counts of shop theft. He remains in our custody at this time.
“We continue to appeal to anyone who has any information, CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, to please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference 24*147374.
