Every commercial radio station in the United Kingdom is required to keep within its own “format”. Ofcom, the UK radio regulator provides an issued document to regulate music, news, etc. This document is to give you a better insight into what we are doing for our community.

Local News is broadcast between 6am-6pm Monday to Friday and 6am-2pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Comment or Complain:
Complaints about Steel FM’s output weather news or program content in the first instance are submitted by email to complaints@steelfm.org.
Emails sent to this address will be delivered to a shared inbox accessible by the board of directors, who will then appropriately action the complaint.
We aim to reply back to all emails within 5-7 business working days.
If you are unhappy with the response you receive, you can complain directly to the regulator, Ofcom https://www.ofcom.org.uk/tv-radio-and-on-demand/how-to-report-a-complaint.
