60 faces as Scunthorpe celebrates its first Pride festival

The first Scunthorpe Pride event proved to be a roaring success – despite a few showers – on Sunday.

Held in Church Square, visitors were able to enjoy entertainment on the main stage, along with food and drink and charity stalls. Performers included choirs and drag queens, and there was plenty of singing in the rain, before the clouds lifted and the sun broke through to lift the spirits even further.

Organisers were blown away by the turnout, with an estimated three to four thousand people turning up. We were there to snap plenty of happy faces, with a full report to follow.
