ADVERTORIAL: Band formed at North Lindsey College releases their debut single

A band that was formed at North Lindsey College in Scunthorpe have released their debut single and are making waves in the music scene.

In September, Poet’s Corner released ‘Over and Over’, which is captivating listeners and racking up streams on Apple Music and Spotify.

Formed in the college’s state-of-the-art music studios, the band are currently working towards their Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music at North Lindsey College.

Their journey reached a thrilling milestone when they teamed up with Warren Records, a non-profit label based in Hull, to record their single at Woodley Moss Studios in Scunthorpe.

Poet’s Corner has been lighting up local venues such as Café Indie, showcasing their passion for music and performance. With dreams of stardom and plans to pursue music degrees at university, these students are just getting ready to take their first steps on an exciting journey.

Lead singer and North Lindsey College student Cayden Oram said: “We have never done anything like this before. It was so exciting to record and a great opportunity. It was professionally mixed and mastered. It has been huge for us, a massive jump in our careers. Poet’s Corner is us now and we want to continue. The only way to go is up.”

He continued: “We are doing something people only dream of doing. If it were not for the college, we would not have met, and we would not be where we are today.”
