Gerald William Bailey born 30th March 1937 in Gainsborough has passed away peacefully in Scunthorpe General Hospital on Sunday 6th October surrounded by his family after a prolonged struggle with Pneumonia. Gerald leaves behind his Daughter Clare, Son Andrew, Sister Shirley, Granddaughter’s Bethany and Alyssha and Great Granddaughter’s Ella and Freya. Gerald spent his early life living with his grandparents in Tooley Street, Gainsborough until he met his late wife Doreen, they were married at Gainsborough Trinity Church in 1961 and moved to Scunthorpe where they would permanently settle in 1967. He then became an avid supporter of Scunthorpe United FC, holding a season ticket for 55 years. His life will be commemorated at the Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe on Tuesday 29th October at 2:40pm. The family welcome donations to The Iron Foundation. (Woodliffe) Peacefully on 30th September 2024 in the loving care of Sycamore Lodge Care Home, Maureen passed away aged 81 years. Reunited with her loving husband Bill, dearly loved sister of the late Sylve, Jess, Stan and John and a dear sister-in-law of Doreen, Shirley and Christine. A much loved Auntie to all her nieces and nephews and a good friend to many. Maureen will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. A service and committal will take place on Tuesday 22nd October 2024 at 1.20pm at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe. Peacefully on Friday 4th October 2024 John passed away aged 81. Beloved husband of Carol, a good friend to many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A Funeral Service will take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Tuesday 29th October at 1:30pm. Peacefully passed away at his home in Epworth on Sunday 6th October 2024, aged 88 years. Jerry Sadly on Tuesday 01st October 2024, whilst in the arms of his loving partner Mandy, Jerry passed peacefully away aged 67 years. A dearly loved dad to Barry and Julie. Peacefully on Wednesday 2nd of October 2024 at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital Grimsby, Jessie passed away in the loving arms of her grandaughter Leigh-Anne. Loving wife of the late Hughie, much loved mum of Christina and mother in law to Nigel, devoted Gran to Leigh-Anne and a very naughty Granny to her great grandson Wilf, her best boy. A private funeral service will take place with Jessie eventually returning to her home in Scotland.
