Grimsby coffee shop transforms its family room into Halloween spooktacular for some half-term fun

A popular Grimsby coffee shop has “Halloween’d up” its family room to provide some spooky half-term fun for children.

Situated on Victoria Street West, Riverhead Coffee has transformed its upstairs family room to celebrate Halloween, incorporating witches’ hats dangling from the ceiling, gigantic spiders spinning their webs and skeletons lurking around each corner.

The coffee shop is also offering any child who visits in their costumes a free hot chocolate, along with Halloween themed cupcakes and sweet bags and pumpkin biscuits on sale – not forgetting some special pumpkin treats for canine friends who come along.

Speaking to Grimsby Live, owner Nic Till said: “We always decorate for different seasons but I wanted to give our Family Room more of a ‘wow’ factor and provide something fun for kids to do that doesn’t cost a lot of money.

“We’ve teamed up with a local interior designer called Gemma Blake – she’s been one of our customers since we first opened – and she’s come in and Halloween’d everything up. On top of this, any kids that come in during half term dressed up gets a free hot chocolate.”

Riverhead Coffee is open from 8am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 2pm on Sundays.
