A visit to a Christmas market is the perfect way to ready yourself for the festivities to come.
You can get in the celebratory mood while you shop for the ideal gift, all the while soaking up the atmosphere, the sounds and sights and aromas that all mean Christmas is on its way. There are plenty of great Christmas markets and fairs in and around the northern Lincolnshire area.
A stroll around a Christmas market or fair conjures up that festive feel with mulled wine and hot chocolate served up to wrap chilled fingers around, and street food with a festive twist to sample. You can find the ideal present for that difficult-to-buy-for person, given that there are stalls packed with unusual one-off items, often made by the stallholders themselves.
Turn a festive trip out to a market into a full-on family affair. The youngest children will be dazzled by the sparkling lights on the stalls and older ones can sometimes enjoy meeting live reindeer or a go on the traditional rides that often accompany these occasions.
