Broadband provider Quickline Communications has become Hull City Football Club’s latest commercial partner.
The Willerby-based rural infrastructure specialist says the deal will bring exciting initiatives to supporters and provide benefits to communities in the East Riding of Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire. Quickline’s branding will appear at the club’s MKM Stadium home through LED advertising, concourse displays, and in matchday programme.
As part of the agreement, the firm will give free match tickets to schools and community groups and work with current and former Hull City players to stage events for young people across the region. Quickline will also distribute free match tickets to schools and community groups, offer exclusive signed merchandise, and team up with current and former Hull City players to deliver events for young people across the region.
To finish the season, Quickline will host a competition giving two grassroots football teams the chance to win a “day in the life” experience event with Hull City. The club’s first team coaches will train the teams, who will use the players’ dressing room, eat in the team canteen and experience professional pre and post-match routines at the club’s training ground.
Andrew Clark, head of commercial and marketing at Hull City, said: “We are delighted to welcome Quickline on board and excited to work with them to the benefit of both parties. Quickline will be using the City brand to support their marketing efforts in rural areas across the wider Yorkshire region and providing supporters with further opportunities to engage with the club.”
Kat Jeffery, head of marketing at Quickline, said: “As our network continues to expand across East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, this partnership with Hull City allows us to connect with a larger audience. More importantly, it provides meaningful ways to engage with and support rural communities through giveaways, events, and experiences that bring people together. We’re especially excited about the focus on grassroots football and the promotion of health and wellbeing among children which builds on the foundations we’ve laid through our Brownlee Foundation sponsorship, and we look forward to making an even bigger impact.”
This year, Quickline was awarded a series of Government-funded Project Gigabit contracts to bring broadband connectivity to hard-to-reach rural properties across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
