A new cocktail lounge has opened in Seaview Street, Cleethorpes, and hopes to impress customers with its impeccable service and stylish design.
‘Blonde Toast’ announced its official opening date as Thursday, December 14 and has been met with lots of support from people in the community. Manager Josh said it has always been a dream of his to open a cocktail bar and Blonde Toast has been in the works for around six months.
The Instagrammable bar has found its home in the downstairs unit that was previously Calcutta Street Kitchen. Above the bar is the restaurant Abdul’s, which Josh says isn’t affiliated with Blonde Toast.

“The name Blonde Toast came about when I was sending my coffee order to a friend and ‘blonde roast’ accidentally autocorrected to toast. I thought it was a great name for a bar and toast also has the meaning of raising a glass during a celebration,” Josh said.
He describes Blonde Toast as having an ‘up-market city vibe’ with modern décor and floral touches. “I think it is a great addition to Seaview Street, alongside all of the super cool bars and shops in the area,” Josh said.
“We wanted Blonde Toast to be sophisticated with a focus on impeccable service, but still affordable. In addition to our six staff members that we already have, we are hoping to hire a doorman to greet customers, help get them into a taxi and hold up umbrellas when it’s raining, to elevate people’s experiences.
“Although we are a bar serving alcohol, we also want to encourage responsible drinking so will be on hand with a variety of flavoured waters to stop things being taken too far. Although everyone is welcome, we are mostly targeting our bar at over 25s with soul, funk and disco nights.”
In addition to cocktails, DJ nights and bottomless brunches, Blonde Toast will also be serving small plates. On the menu will be dishes such as coconut prawns, mac and cheese balls and bao buns.
For a bottomless brunch package, customers can choose two small plates, alongside their bottomless prosecco and cocktails. Josh encouraged people to message the Blonde Toast social media pages for table bookings, but otherwise those on a night out can just drop in.
Blonde Toast plans to open six days a week during the festive period.
