Shopkeeper, stalker and motorbike thief among offenders at court in Grimsby

A shopkeeper who supplied counterfeit cigarettes in Grimsby, a thief who stole motorbikes from garages in Scunthorpe and a man who harassed a victim by sending numerous messages, all appeared in Grimsby Magistrates’ Court in recent days.

While some cases were adjourned to be tried at a later date and others dismissed altogether, magistrates still handed out hefty fines, points on driving licences and even prison sentences to those who did not comply with court orders.

Here are ten people from across northern Lincolnshire who have appeared before magistrates in Grimsby in the last fortnight.
