A violent man handed a restraining order after he assaulted his victim and damaged her mobile phone and car was one of many offenders from across northern Lincolnshire to appear before magistrates in Grimsby last week.
Drink drivers, shop thieves and a man caught cultivating cannabis were also sentenced, while other cases were adjourned to be tried at a later date and some sent to Grimsby Crown Court.

Jamie Dixon, 32, of Kathleen Avenue, Scunthorpe pleaded guilty to assault by beating, harassment by sending numerous messages and phone calls and two counts of criminal damage, namely to the victim’s mobile phone and car. He was given a community order which ordered him to abstain from drinking alcohol for 90 days and comply with a 33-day Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. He was also handed a restraining order against the victim, ordered to pay £250 in compensation, a £114 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Carl Anderson, 49, of Rutland Street, Grimsby indicated pleas of guilty to two counts of theft from a shop, in which he stole a jacket worth £250 from Betty McKenzie on Market Street, Cleethorpes and a bike torch worth £25 from A1 Motor Stores on Convamore Road. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay back £125 in compensation.
Josse Jackson, 32, of Lancaster Avenue, Grimsby pleaded guilty to two counts of using threatening, abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. He also indicated a plea of guilty to the possession of crack cocaine. He was jailed for eight weeks.
Matthew Johnson, 34, of Daubney Street, Cleethorpes indicated a plea of guilty to the cultivation of 13 plants of cannabis. He was fined £300 and ordered to pay a £120 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Lewis Hall, 23, of First Avenue, Grimsby pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. He was jailed for eight weeks.
Callum Byrnes, 34, of Elder Road, Grimsby pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £48 victim services surcharge.
Jonathan Heskin, 45, of Malcolm Road, Grimsby pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle whilst over the legal alcohol limit, namely 99 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 mililitres of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 16 months, fined £600 and ordered to pay a £240 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Amanda Harrison, 51, of Orchid Close, South Killingholme pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle in Immingham whilst over the legal alcohol limit, namely 90 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 mililitres of breath. She was disqualified from driving for 18 months, fined £300, ordered to pay a £120 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Luke Cook, 23, of Wallis Court, Grimsby pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle on North Promenade in Cleethorpes whilst over the legal alcohol limit, namely 84 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 mililitres of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months, fined £120, ordered to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and ordered to pay a £48 victim services surcharge.
Daniel Pexman, 40, of Hope Street, Grimsby pleaded guilty to two counts of theft from a shop in which he stole a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolate, a box of Lindor chocolate and four boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts from Asda in Grimsby. He was fined £40.
