A Yorkshire motor group has snapped up a fellow regional automotive retailer for an undisclosed sum.

  • He said the acquisition also allows Stoneacre to re-engage with Nissan as franchise partners and look forward to working with the Nissan management and senior team to invest in and enhance the business opportunities in the Grimsby and Hull market areas. The deal sees Nissan, Dodge, RAM, KGM and Citroen aftersales added to the Grimsby offering, and Nissan to Hull, together with a new and used van centre and a stand-alone used car site.

The firm said that one of its primary objectives of the acquisition is to ensure job security for the employees of Trenton Garages, and it confirmed that all existing jobs will be safeguarded except for employees who have chosen to transition to join Trenton’s sister company.

Mr Foweather said: “We are delighted to welcome Trenton Garages into the Stoneacre family. This acquisition not only strengthens our position in the market but also reflects our commitment to supporting local economies and communities.

“We are pleased to reassure the employees of Trenton Garages that their jobs are secure, and we look forward to working together to achieve mutual success.”
