A new bar and bistro offering a wide range of eclectic dishes and bottomless brunches has officially opened in Grimsby town centre.
Situated on Abbeygate, Better Days opened at the end of May following months of renovation and planning by Paige and Vicky Fytche-Crossman, who together run both Bar 41 and InsideOut on Sea View Street in Cleethorpes.
The eatery will serve an array of brunch options from the Better Days Flatbread, Fettucine Crepe and Eggs Benedict to sweet treats like the pancake stacker and French toast with a Biscoff drizzle.

By evening, Better Days will transform from a brunch spot into a chic bistro, serving up sharers such as charcuterie boards and baked Camembert, as well as seven flatbreads, each featuring tastes and flavours from a different world cuisine.
Speaking previously to Grimsby Live, co-owner Vicky said: “We’re really excited and thrilled to be opening a third place. We’ve got the bars in Cleethorpes where we don’t have food options so it’s completely different for us to have a kitchen. We’ve wanted to do this for a while.
“We want to make sure the menus are what people want and for customers to feel they’ve had a really nice experience in a place they visually enjoy being in and want to take pictures in.
“Upstairs is a designated area for people who want to host private events, for additional seating and for cocktail bottomless brunches. We do really well with our bottomless brunches in Cleethorpes, and as we were looking at what’s available in Grimsby, a bottomless brunch never came up.
“So we wanted to bring something new to Grimsby, and upstairs is perfectly designed for that. We’ve got a big neon sign on the wall for people to take pictures. We’ve kept the place quite industrial looking while also being glam and trendy. There’s plant pots everywhere and a rustic antique mirror at the bar counter. It’s a good space for people.”
