The University Campus North Lincolnshire (UCNL) was awash with smiles and joy last week, as families kickstarted the festive season with an evening of fun and laughter.
Attending the inaugural ‘Christmas Cracker’ event, attendees were welcomed into somewhat of a Christmas emporium, with trips to Santa’s Grotto, craft making, choir performances and more on offer.
The choir performances came from St Peter and St Paul Church of England Primary School, who delivered fantastic renditions of Christmas classics for guests throughout the evening.
Respective programme areas from the UCNL laid on a variety of festive activities too – giving children the chance to write a letter to Santa, build a snowman and, even take part in a scavenger hunt, with a plethora of clues dotted around the campus.
Gillian Read, Director of School for Health, Education, Wellbeing and Sport at DN Colleges Group, said: “The event was a magical occasion that united the community in festive celebration.
“Highlights included, a captivating performance by the school choir, Santa visits and his cheerful elves, and engaging Christmas craft activities for all ages.
“It was a fabulous evening filled with joy, laughter, and holiday spirit – an unforgettable start to the festive season.”
The night was one which will truly live long in the memory amongst staff from the University Campus North Lincolnshire, with colleagues expressing their delight at how the event was received by the local community.
