With Spring upon us and the clocks going forward this weekend, it’s the time of year to start looking forward for things to do and spending time outside.
Easter is traditionally the time we start planning places to go, so if you’re looking for something to do this weekend, there are plenty of options on your doorstep.
If you want to try something new or simply fancy a day out, there are lots of events and activities happening across the area. We often search further afield for places to visit or for a weekend away and bypass what’s available in our own neighbourhood. We need to support our local businesses and become local ambassadors to promote North Lincolnshire to our friends, family and those we know.

Comprised of North Lincolnshire visitor economy businesses, the Visit North Lincolnshire Tourism Partnership works to promote the area. This year, the businesses involved in the organisation are encouraging residents to visit them and reduce their carbon footprint by not travelling far from home.
Using the brand ‘We are North Lincolnshire’, the businesses are promoting what they do, as well as the goods made here and current events taking place in the area.
The sector has suffered many challenges over the last few years as a result of the Covid pandemic and the cost of living crisis – but these businesses have been resilient throughout, continuing to offer terrific experiences, places to stay, fabulous products and lots of exciting things to do.
Why not promote your favourite place to go or give a shout-out for a great experience you’ve had recently in North Lincolnshire? The Partnership uses social media to promote what is happening and the great places we have to visit. The ‘Visit North Lincolnshire’ Facebook page – which provides plenty of information on the opportunities and places of interest we have here in North Lincolnshire – is an ideal place to start.
You can follow the ‘Visit North Lincolnshire’ Facebook page here and on Instagram (@Visit.North.Lincs) here to see what exciting things are taking place around the area. Share your photos or stories and use the hashtag #wearenorthlincolnshire to help spread the word.
Visit local this weekend and support our local businesses.
