Bikers approach woman on motorbike and try to ‘force her off the road’ in Scunthorpe attempted robbery

A woman was riding her motorbike in Scunthorpe when two men attempted to “force her off the road” in an “attempted robbery”.

On Friday, December 28 at around 9pm, a woman was riding her white, black and orange Honda CBR along Ashby High Street near the Malt Shovel pub when she was approached by two men on another motorbike.

The men then attempted to force the woman off the road several times, with the incident continuing along Ashby High Street, Messingham Road and into Bottesford. Thankfully, the woman sought safety and was not injured.

Humberside Police have now launched an appeal in a bid to encourage anyone who has any information about the incident to contact them.

In a statement, the force said: “We would appeal to anyone who has information or has CCTV or dashcam footage that may assist with our enquiries to please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting investigation reference 23*183333.”
