Chiropractor returns home to set up own practice a generation on from spotting opportunity

A chiropractor has returned home to Lincolnshire to open his own clinic after a decade spent honing his skills in an award-winning practice.

Chris Wragg has set up CW Chiropractic, moving from South Wales to Little Grimsby to make it a rural reality, filling a geographic niche recognised in childhood while looking to give the start he had to his young family.

His interest in the profession was ignited when joining his father on a trip from Grimsby to Lincoln to see a specialist, and the importance of time with his wife and daughters hit home during the pandemic. Now he is combining both by setting up in the area, with wife Jo by his side.

“When Covid struck, at the same time as having a young family, it really hit me just how intrinsically important family and health are,” he said. “With my experience of working in such a successful practice in Wales, I felt the time was right to be able to give back to the

community that I grew up in. In this way, I also hope to give my family the same opportunity I had growing up in Lincolnshire; to make the most of precious time doing the things we love, with the people we care for the most.

“Over the last 10 years, I’ve seen first-hand the wider impact back problems and musculoskeletal problems have not just on the person involved but on their loved ones, too. It’s been an absolute pleasure to help people and their families in Wales get their lives back on track, and I can’t wait to start making a difference back home, in the community where I grew up.”

Jo is well versed in the medical world, having worked for many years as a dental nurse, and will be active in the management side of the practice, overseeing the day-to-day running of CW Chiropractic and customer service.

Located between Louth and Grimsby, he believes the rural location is geared up to deliver even more benefits to patients. “It took a while to decide on the location, but we knew we wanted to be in the Louth area,” Chris said. “Being slightly out of town resonates with our personal and organisational ethos. People come to us for a reason, and while they are with us, we want to make the experience as enjoyable as possible – that includes the location. It’s beautiful, it’s calming, and the barn conversion is peaceful and quiet. With ease of parking, we wanted to make every aspect convenient for our patients. And, for myself and Jo, it’s a fantastic place to come to work and help people.”

Treatments and self-help recommendations will be given. “Family is at the heart of our clinic, and we really mean it,” Chris added. “Our ethos invites every patient we treat to become part of the CW Chiropractic community.
