Savers in Grimsby has been advertising its Black Friday deals with the help of a controversial reality TV star.
Brad Skelly, of Married At First Sight, has been pictured on the store’s Facebook page holding some of its Christmas products. A post said: “Christmas has come early in Grimsby Savers with our amazing offers and Black Friday deals”.
It is accompanied by images of the star, apparently in Savers uniform with a “Brad” name badge pinned to his zip-up jacket and a Savers-branded lanyard around his neck. He is also seen in earlier pictures posing with Savers colleagues holding balloons that declare: “Great place to work”.

The Grimsby model, 27, was kicked off the MAFS UK 2023 show amid allegations of controlling and coercive behaviour. He later apologised in a video in which he claimed he had been “very misunderstood”.
In images posted on Facebook, Brad is pictured holding bottles of perfume beside a display of fragrances and Lynx gift sets. One person responding to the post said simply: “It’s Brad”.
Another said: “Did the universe guide him to apply for the job?” One person asked: “Is this real?” while someone else said: “But how? I’ve been zooming on the name badge.”
One response said: “Times are hard after MAFS” while another said: “How to lose customers.”
Savers Grimsby has limited who can comment on the post in question. It appeared on the page late afternoon on Wednesday, November 22.
In a video posted to TikTok last month, Brad said: “First and foremost I just want to apologise to absolutely anybody that my actions have offended in any way, shape or form during my time on the experiment of MAFS and now it’s being aired. I am sorry that you all, including the people that I was on the show with, got to see the worst sides of me during my time within the experiment.
“At present I’m experiencing some heavy flows of hatred and malice from people who have evidently built up a very, very strong embedded opinion of me. Please open up to the fact that you are all judging me based on some very, very short snippets from hours and hours of filming, dramatised for the highest form of entertainment.”
