Death Notices

(Don) It is with deep sadness that the family announce that on Sunday 22nd December 2024 Don aged 99 years passed away peacefully whilst in the dedicated care of the Newgrove Care Home in New Waltham. Don was the loving Husband to the late Betty, a devoted Dad of Susan and a respected Father-in-Law of Joseph. Don was also the adored Grumps of Peter and Rebecca, much loved Great Grandad of Daniel and Louis, Uncle and a dear Friend to all. Don will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. A service to celebrate Don’s life will take place on Friday 17th January 2025 at 10:30am at the Grimsby Crematorium Family flowers by requested but if so desired, a donation to the Newgrove Care Home for their Residents can be donated in Don’s memory or given on the day of the service where upon a donation box will be situated in the Garden of Remembrance. Mick Sadly passed away on 16th December 2024 at Greenacres Care Home in Crowle, aged 86 years. Dearly beloved husband of the late Joyce, much loved Dad of Erica, Georgina and the late Vivien. Dear Father-in-law of Carl, Philip & Keith, and loving Grandad of Rebecca, Nathan, Holly & the late Lucy. Will friends please meet for service at St Oswald’s Church, Crowle, on Friday 10th January at 2:15pm followed by burial in Crowle Cemetery. Family flowers only please. (Nee Turvell) Sadly on Monday the 9th December 2024, Barbara passed away peacefully aged 83 whilst in the care of Diana Princess of Wales Hospital Grimsby. Loving wife and soulmate of the late Vic and partner of the late Dave. Stepmother to Barbara and Valerie, friend of many and an active member of the Louth Jazz Club. A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Thursday the 16th January 2025 at 11.15 am. Family flowers only please any donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Dogs Trust, a donation box will be available at the service. (Dave) It is with great sadness we announce on Saturday 21st December 2024 Dave, aged 85 years passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. A much loved husband to Ann, a dear dad to Doug, Stew and Linda, Dave was also a dear grandad, great grandad, brother, uncle, father in law and good friend to many, who will be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Dave’s life will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Monday 13th January at 11.15am. (Pat) Peacefully on Tuesday 24th December 2024, Pat passed away aged 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Ray, much loved mum of Nicola, Amanda and Sam, loving mother-in-law of Jim, Tom and Paul, cherished grandma of Amy, Victoria, Lucy, Anthony, Sarah and Maria. Pat was a dear sister, sister-in-law, auntie and a good friend to many who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A service will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Thursday 9th January at 4.30pm. Sadly on 16th December 2024, whilst in the dedicated care of Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby, Sheila aged 89 years passed peacefully away with her loving family by her side. The devoted wife of the late Ralph, beloved mum of Garry and David, mum-in-law of Judith and Sally, cherished grandma of Andrew, Ashleigh, Luke and Ryan, great grandma of Honey, a special partner to Ray and a great friend to many. Sheila was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed. A service to celebrate Sheila’s life will take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Tuesday 14th January 2025, at 12 noon. The family are deeply saddened to announce, after a short illness, whilst in the loving care of Diana Princess of Wales on 8th December, Roy aged 73 years of Grimsby sadly passed away. Much loved son of the late Walter and Mary, dear brother of Julie and the late Doreen, Melvin, David and Joy. Roy was a dearly loved uncle, great uncle and friend to many and will be very sadly missed. There will be a private cremation to take place but the family would like to warmly welcome people to join them at The British Legion, Ross Hall/Barnoldby Road, Waltham, Grimsby DN37 0JR on Monday 13th January at 12:00 to celebrate Roy’s life.
