Emergency services have swarmed a Scunthorpe Street following a house fire.
Residents reported the fire at around 1pm with witnesses stating they saw Humberside Police, Humberside Fire and Rescue, East Midlands Ambulance Service and the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance in attendance. It is currently unclear whether anyone has been injured or how the fire started.
One woman who saw the air ambulance said: “All I know is that there was a large police presence and emergency services. The helicopter landed in Lincoln Garden’s school field and was there for at least thirty minutes. We didn’t see any flames or smell any smoke so I really do not know what the incident was.
“We just hope that anyone involved in whatever it was is okay.” Humberside Police said: “Emergency services are currently in attendance on Belmont Street in Scunthorpe after being called to reports of a fire at a house at around 12.50pm this afternoon (Wednesday 8 November).
