Flood alerts have been put in place across northern Lincolnshire.
River levels are expected to remain high as a result of high spring tides until Wednesday, November 1, with residents advised to avoid entering areas prone to flooding and using low lying footpaths. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle are forecast across the region starting from the early hours of Monday morning, continuing on throughout the week, with heavier rainfall and strong winds predicted on Thursday.
One flood alert, meaning flooding is possible, has been put in place for the “Humber tributaries” of North East Lincolnshire, focusing on the areas of the River Freshney, Stallingborough North, Old Fleet Drain, Buck Beck, Barrow Beck, Butts Drain and East Halton Beck.
