Is it too early for shops to stock Christmas items? Vote in our poll

It’s September, the school holidays are coming to an end, and there’s a mini-heatwave on the way.

However, as far as many shops are concerned, the time has come to start thinking about Christmas. Despite the big day being 16 weeks away, shelves loaded with festive food, gifts and decorations have started to appear around the area.

The arrival of Christmas in retail is something which seems to be coming earlier and earlier, and many will remember a time not too many years ago when it didn’t really start appearing until some time in late October or even closer to December.
