Leeds law firm Ison Harrison has acquired city neighbour Cohen Cramer Solicitors in a deal that has formed a £23m turnover business.
Cohen Cramer’s roots go back to 1980 when Howard Cohen & Co was established before it merged with Cramer Richards in 2009, forming Cohen Cramer which has specialised in regulatory and criminal law, personal injury, family law, dispute resolution, animal-related cases and legal costs. Its team of four directors and 27 staff are said to have generated a turnover of more than £3m last year.
The £19.3m turnover, employee-owned Ison Harrison, which has offices across Yorkshire, said the acquisition would significantly build its presence in the region. With Cohen Cramer’s team incorporated the business now has a workforce of more than 300.
