Wren Kitchens is entering the new build market.
The North Lincolnshire-based firm has appointed a leading industry figure as sales director for the new division, as the company looks to further increase its reach through the contracts sector. It describes the move as one that will revolutionise the market, with “unparalleled offerings in terms of affordability, luxury, design and finish options, rapid delivery times and installation coverage”.
Damian Sheridan takes up the new role to lead on the development. He has spent more than 25 years in the contract kitchen market, sales director level appointments in the last 15 years.

He said: “Wren’s entry into the contract market is hugely exciting. The sheer scale, reputation and capability of the business is more than impressive, and the sustainable but significant growth that Wren has realised on the retail side demonstrates we have the infrastructure and scope to become a serious contender in the contracts space.
“The quality and affordability of the products, the passion, foresight and capabilities of the Wren people, supported by best-in-class lead times and award winning in-house delivery processes, means that the Wren offering will be as irresistible to the developer and housebuilder customers as it is to the retail customer.”
Launched in 2009 and closing in on a £1 billion turnover, the company’s manufacturing is entirely based around the Humber – with sites at Howden, Scunthorpe and the Barton headquarters. There it has just seen a £200 million investment in a 1.3 million sq ft new build production facility complete, while a maturing distribution network serves more than 100 showrooms around the UK. During the build it has also recently added in-house quartz production for worktops – with two of the largest lines in Europe.
Wren already delivers more than 130,000 kitchens a year in the UK, and has also made moves into the US, as well as the fitted bedroom market. Employing 7,200, the venture will create further roles as a dedicated team is established.
Raf Klimek, manufacturing and logistics director at Wren, said: “We’re really excited to bring Damian on board. Entering the developer and house builder market is a great opportunity for customers and ourselves. Damian brings significant experience and understanding of the industry that will drive our continued success into this sector.
“To ensure we do not fall short of our market leading reputation for service excellence, we are expanding our contract team with industry specialists who bring with them years of wide-ranging sector specific knowledge and experience. They will be working closely with and supporting our contract customers throughout the process, whilst upholding the levels of service and efficiency that we have become known for across the kitchen industry.”
Property developers of all scales are to be targeted, with solutions said to streamline projects and boost their bottom line.
