Man, 52, charged after large cannabis grow found near Scunthorpe

A 52-year-old man has appeared in court after a “large cannabis cultivation” was found near Scunthorpe.

Jason Emeny, 52, of Hibaldstow was charged with the production of cannabis and the abstraction of electricity after the grow was discovered by police on Monday.

He appeared at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

A spokesperson from Humberside Police said: “Following the discovery on Monday 4 September of what is thought to be a large cannabis cultivation near Scunthorpe a man has been charged.

“Jason Emeny, aged 52, of Hibaldstow was charged with the production of cannabis and the abstraction of electricity.

“All information about drugs being grown in our communities is taken extremely seriously, and we work tirelessly to hold those account for their actions.
