Man made indecent images of children using AI

A sex offender who made indecent photographs of a child using Artificial Intelligence has been sentenced by magistrates in Grimsby.

A man in possession of a noxious liquid and a bladed article, violent offenders and motorists caught driving under the influence of drugs also appeared at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court last week for sentencing.

Here are eight offenders from across northern Lincolnshire who have been sentenced in Grimsby in recent days.

Mark Watson, 44, of Far Ings Road, Barton upon Humber indicated a plea of guilty to making indecent, Artificial Intelligence (AI) generated photographs of a child. He was given a community order, a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and ordered to register with the police as a sex offender for five years. He was also ordered to pay a £114 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Beck Bradley, 22, of Brereton Avenue, Cleethorpes indicated pleas of guilty to the possession of a weapon designed for the discharge of a noxious liquid, the possession of a bladed article in a public place, namely a lock knife, and the possession of cannabis. He was given a one-year suspended sentence order and ordered to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work.

Jack Elshaw, 26, of Winchester Avenue, Grimsby pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating. He was given a community order with the requirement to carry out 40 hours of unpaid work and ordered to pay a £114 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Zoe Green, 34, of Isaac’s Hill, Cleethorpes pleaded guilty to five counts of theft from a shop in which she stole items worth £150 from Next, items worth £130 from Tesco, men’s razors worth £60 from Asda, coffee worth £30 from Tesco and cosmetics of an unknown value from Boots. She also indicated a plea of guilty to one count of theft from a shop in which she stole electronics and candles worth £150 from Asda. She was given a one-year community order.

Andrew Sparrow, 46, of Western Avenue, Brigg pleaded guilty to assaulting a person occasioning them actual bodily harm. He was given a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement.

Frazer Fernandez, 30, of Bedford Way, Scunthorpe pleaded guilty to driving whilst under the influence of cocaine. He was banned from driving for one year and ordered to pay a fine of £400, £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £60 victim services surcharge.

Darrell Mason, 29, of Muirfield Croft, Immingham pleaded guilty to driving whilst under the influence of cocaine. He was banned from driving for one year and ordered to pay a fine of £300, £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £120 victim services surcharge.

Brennon Dobbs, 32, of Columbia Road, Grimsby pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention. He was given three points on his licence and ordered to pay a fine of £150, £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £60 victim services surcharge.
