More than 70 faces at Cleethorpes Folk and Cider Festival

Event is just the ticket for bank holiday entertainment at Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway

Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway has been playing host to the Cleethorpes Folk & Cider Festival over the late May bank holiday weekend.

With live music and plenty of cider on offer, the festival has drawn crowds of people – and dogs – to the venue. Unique and talented folk artists from across the country have been playing afternoon and evening sets to keep the crowds well entertained at the free-to-visit event.

Grimsby Morris was also on the bill, providing the spectacle of some traditional Morris Dancing. Along with the array of ciders, a range of real ales has also be tempting visitors at the award-winning Signal Box Inn, with an extra external bar added to help the attraction cope with demand.

The Sidings Snack Shack has also been doing brisk trade over the weekend, offering food into the evening on Saturday and Sunday. The next major event for Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway is its Summer Steam Festival.

Taking place over the weekend of July 13 and 14, it is an event steam enthusiasts will not want to miss. All available locomotives will be in service, operating to a special timetable, with visiting steam attractions.

Visitors will able to travel behind a guest loco or one of the home fleet on the railway, with gala rover tickets offering the chance to jump on and off the train as many times as you like.

There will be traction engines on display and some first-class ales for beer lovers from the Signal Box Inn.
