Myenergi co-founder Jordon Brompton steps down as new CEO Andrew Clint announced

The co-founder of Grimsby eco-tech firm myenergi, Jordon Brompton, has stepped down as the public face of the business and a new CEO has been appointed.

Ms Brompton started the renewable energy products firm with Lee Sutton in 2016 and it has since grown to employ more than 400 people with subsidiaries in Australia, Germany, Ireland, and the Netherlands. The Stallingborough firm’s flagship product is its eco-smart zappi electric vehicle charger, and it also offers eddi – a device to divert surplus renewable energy to domestic heating systems; energy monitoring wireless sensor harvi, and libbi, a smart home battery solution.

The move means Ms Brompton, who is chief marketing officer, will step down from her executive role but will remain on the board as a company director and as a shareholder. She described her eight years growing the business as a “crazy ride” and that she would continue to support the myenergi team in an advisory role.

In a post on X, Ms Brompton said: “I started with -£20k in my bank with my business partner and now one of my best friends Lee Sutton to a £50m+ turnover business. Together we built one of the fastest growing tech businesses in the UK. We met and built one of the best teams in our industry and I’ve made friends for life on this crazy ride from far and wide.

“We proved you can have success with British manufacturing and do it profitably. I’ve travelled the world growing the business. Wrote a children’s book and had some of the best experiences of my life. Myenergi opened so many doors for this lass from Grimsby. We’ve given hundreds of thousands back to the local community and created real career opportunities for people. We smashed through barriers, we laughed, we’ve cried.

“The highs have been extremely high the lows have been the lowest! But what a ride! What an experience. I’ve decided to take a step back from ‘the job’. To enjoy some well earned rest and family time. Before pursuing my next adventure.”

Myenergi’s board described Ms Brompton’s “incredible eight years of challenge and international growth” as it introduced Andrew Clint as group CEO. – bringing with him 20 years’ of senior leadership experience in international businesses.

Andrew Clint has international business experience within technology companies.
