County Durham tech firm Filtronic has announced the arrival of a new chief executive officer.
Nat Edington has taken the helm at the business, which has base in Leeds as well as at NETPark in Sedgefield, after Richard Gibbs stood down from the role. The company, which develops mmWave technologies for the aerospace, defence, space and telecoms infrastructure markets, said Mr Edington brings a wealth of experience in both public and private technology companiesm having held senior executive positions in the high technology and semiconductor industry.
Mr Edington joins from Dukosi Ltd, where he was CEO after leading the business from early stage to global technology leader. He was also CEO of Cambridge CMOS Sensors, has held executive leadership positions at AMS AG and Wolfson Microelectronics, and had a non-executive position at AIM-listed Concurrent Technologies plc.
Former CEO Richard Gibbs led Filtronic for three and a half years and will leave the business at the end of the financial year. Jonathan Neale, chair of Filtronic, said: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Richard for his significant contribution over the last three and a half years. His passion and dedication will be missed by everyone at Filtronic, and we wish him the very best as he transitions to the next phase of his career.
