Scunthorpe United FC has teamed up with Ongo in a unique partnership that will offer a new and exciting initiative to tenants and customers.
The leading local organisations are working together to bring opportunities to people of all ages in Scunthorpe, and have established a special ‘Ongo Zone’ within the Attis Arena, also known as Glanford Park. The new partnership also includes signage and 50 tickets to every game for the upcoming season.
Not only this, but the services Ongo provides – including mental health support and projects to help get people into employment – will also be promoted to Scunthorpe United fans.

Initiatives within different areas is also set to take place, from chair-based exercise sessions with residents at Myos House (Ongo’s dementia care scheme) to joint activities and education sessions at Ongo’s community centres and large-scale events.
So far, over 100 people have benefitted from the project, attending a Scunthorpe United game and accessing support – something that is set to only grow during the 2024-2025 season.
Kevin Hornsby, Director of Customer Services at Ongo, said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for us to strengthen an already great partnership with Scunthorpe United.
“We know how passionate people are about the club so it’s great we’re able to not only invest in them, but in our tenants and customers too, bringing huge benefits and creating new ways to engage in our services.
“We want to increase the number of opportunities for people to access sport and football related activities, whilst being able to attend games at their local club.
“Another great part is that we’re able to reach thousands of people through the club’s fan base, making sure as many people as possible know about the support available.
“So far the work we’ve done has gone down a storm and I’m excited to see what more we can do in the future, especially with the new season in mind.”
Glyn Sparks, Head of Partnerships at Scunthorpe United, said: “I am delighted that Ongo has become a club partner. It’s fantastic to have such a large local company support us on and off the pitch.
“The partnership is not only between us and Ongo, but with the Iron Foundation too, so we can deliver even more.”
