People’s Park has transformed into a Viking village this weekend, as thousands flock to Grimsby for ‘Grim Falfest’.
The Viking festival, introduced to celebrate Grimsby’s heritage, has brought several events to our town, including those at People’s Park and St James’ Square. Today, the park was packed with families who were transported back into the medieval era.
Characters dressed in Viking attire had set up camp near the café to teach visitors about their way of life. From what they ate to how they made clothes and tools, there was a station for everything.
To top it all off, an exciting battle was staged. There are also stalls selling trinkets and homemade gifts, as well as food stalls offering up doughnuts, chips and bao buns to name a few.
For those who haven’t had chance to check it out yet, the festival is continuing tomorrow (Sunday) and is completely free to enter.
