A magical experience for families in the run-up to Christmas 2023 is on the cards at a popular North Lincolnshire garden centre.
People are being urged to book now for a host of fun activities at Brigg Garden Centre. The flagship centre, part of the family-run group British Garden Centres, has announced some annual family favourites that will delight visitors of all ages this Christmas.
Whether you are in the mood for a spot of ice skating or fancy afternoon tea with the big man in red, you can experience both at Brigg. There is also the chance to join Father Christmas in a virtual reality “sleigh ride” to the North Pole.

Get your skates on
Following sell-out sessions last year, visitors can have some fun on the “ice” at Brigg Garden Centre. Until Thursday, November 30, a skating rink will be open Thursday to Sunday; from Friday, December 1, the rink will be open Wednesday to Sunday, increasing to seven days a week on Monday, December 18 (Christmas Day and Boxing Day excluded).
Tickets for the ice rink are priced at £6.95 per person or £25 per family (two adults and two children). The cost of skate hire, or skate-aid penguins, is included in the ticket price and each ice-skating session will last for 30 minutes.
Santa’s Grotto
Explore Santa’s grotto and enjoy a meeting with Santa Claus. Weekend bookings have now sold out due to phenomenal demand but late-night slots in December are still available at the time of writing.
There are also parent and toddler grotto experiences available for that special first meeting with the big man himself.
Breakfast/Afternoon Tea with Santa
A chance for a magical meeting with Santa, over breakfast or afternoon tea. In the setting of the cosy restaurant, expect stories, plenty of festive cheer and Christmas gifts, along with a delicious breakfast or afternoon tea, in the company of the season’s most popular Christmas visitor.
Virtual reality sleigh ride
Join Santa and his team on an exciting immersive experience through the North Pole. Buckle up and hold onto your antlers for the ultimate virtual reality ride at Brigg Garden Centre, which will take you on a magical sleigh journey.
Tickets cost £5 per person, or a family ticket is £25 for up to six people.
New-look Coffee Haven
For a winter-warming drink, the garden centre has its newly located Coffee Haven on offer. Previously based on the ground floor, it has moved upstairs next to the homewares department.
A spokesperson for Brigg Garden Centre said: “The restaurant teams have been getting it ready and we are excited to move into our new space and welcome all of our customers.”
All wrapped up
Brigg Garden Centre’s Christmas store has everything you need in readiness for the big day, including real trees, accessories, decorations, and gifts for family and friends.
