Some bus services in northern Lincolnshire have been cancelled due to the weather conditions today (Sunday, January 5).
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Stagecoach shared: “SCUNTHORPE: We are experiencing difficulties with all our services due to the snowfall over night and no roads gritted in Scunthorpe and surrounding areas.”
In a further statement, the bus service provider announced the main routes that had been impacted.
Stagecoach said: “Due to the current weather conditions, we are unable to run the following services:
- Service 1 Ashby 08:30
- Service 1 Westcliff 10:00
- Service 6 12:00
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
It comes as parts of the area are under a snow and ice warning for the rest of today. The Met Office said that “there is a chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.”
