Jonathan Ross describes Peter Levy’s ‘awkward’ Glory Hole report as his ‘favourite moment of the week’

Talk-show host Jonathan Ross has described an awkward innuendo-riddled moment for Peter Levy as his “absolute favourite moment from the week”.

On Saturday evening’s edition of ITV’s The Jonathan Ross Show, after introducing his guests including Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, Strictly dancer Johannes Radebe, comedian and actress Aisling Bea, comedian and presenter Frank Skinner, and English rockers Kasabian, Jonathan swiftly moved on to the subject of the BBC Look North host’s hilarious exchange with weather forecaster Keeley Donovan that left him blushing and in a fit of laughter.

Introducing the clip from the news show’s broadcast earlier this month, he said: “Sometimes the universe takes the perfect two stories and puts them side by side for us, and this was one of those moments.”

The amusing exchange came when Keeley said: “I’ve also got some PR for you, aren’t you on Channel 5 on Sunday night?”

When asked about the name of the show, a flustered Peter replied: “When Sex On TV Goes Horribly Wrong.” Wishing Keeley a nice weekend, he tried to move on to the next item but was mortified to find out what it was and burst out laughing at the “awkward junction” before, still grinning, saying: “The famous Glory Hole walkway in Lincoln has reopened today after being closed for over a year.”

Returning to the studio, Jonathan said: “They closed the Glory Hole walkway! What a blow to the tourist industry.”

After seeing the segment, Keeley posted a clip on her Instagram with the caption: “We’ve made it onto the Jonathan Ross Show!”

Peter is no stranger to wandering into the realm of suggestive humour on Look North. In January, he struggled to avoid laughing after asking viewers “How big is your hole?” during a broadcast about potholes. Lincoln’s Glory Hole has also seen him cracking up before, as he struggled to keep a straight face during a report last August on the repair bill for the historic Lincoln walkway.
